Between The Trees
This project was to design a functional structure between the trees of Endcliffe Park. My design involves a public bench with a shelter that frames the view down to Porter Brook.

The curved structure gives different views with some areas looking down at Porter Brook and some areas looking towards the Sluice.
The raised platform creates a journey around the trees and finishes with a partially sheltered pod that plays with light and shadow.
The structure wraps around the existing trees and works with the human ergonomics to create a unique bench which allows a range of activities whether it be sitting normally or laying down and looking up to the trees.
